In addition, he will present us with some examples of healthy and balanced meals! 🙂
Today we reveal the menus combined with advice on products that should be in our kitchen – thinking about an anti-cancer diet.
SANDWICHES WITH AVOCADO MOUSSE AND CHERRY TOMATOES
With reference to a study conducted by researchers at Ohio State University of Medicine, eating tomatoes in combination with healthy fats such as avocado and flaxseed oil enhances the absorption of antioxidants contained in tomatoes (from the carotenoid group: lycopene, beta-carotene) – can be absorbed up to 15 times better by our digestive system. Tomatoes are one of the flagship anti-cancer products, and when combined with similar properties of avocado, they create a synergy – enhancing their effects. In addition, the added flaxseed oil again intensifies the parameters of the whole meal.
SANDWICHES WITH HUMMUS, ARUGULA AND OLIVES
Consumption of arugula has a strong anti-cancer effect on our cells. This property is due to the content of glucosinolates, which in the body transform into the form of isothiocyanates.
Arugula is also rich in other antioxidants like beta-carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin. It is perfect as an addition to salads, sandwiches, pasta, vegetable smoothies or as a pesto! 🙂
SALAD OF BROCCOLI, CAULIFLOWER, CHICKPEAS, CARROT RIBBONS AND HAZELNUTS IN PESTO DRESSING
A veritable anti-cancer bomb!!! Cauliflower, broccoli, carrots – it’s a neat trio for fighting cancer – and on top of that healthy omega 3 fats – a perfect combination.
KALE CHIPS
Kale ranks first in the ranking – reaching 1,392 points. It contains particularly high amounts of vitamin K and C, as well as lutein. It contains powerful antioxidants and exhibits anti-inflammatory properties. It belongs to the cabbage plant family. Like broccoli, it contains sulforaphane, a compound with anticancer properties. It is also an excellent source of calcium and iron. Like arugula it works well in many dishes – you can fall in love with it! 🙂
ROASTED YAMS
Sweet potatoes are very rich in carotenoids: beta-carotene (Vitamin A), vitamins: B5, B6, niacin, thiamine or riboflavin. They have fewer calories than traditional white potatoes.
One medium-sized yam contains more than 100% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin A (beta-carotene), which is a powerful antioxidant that prevents the formation of various cancers. Vitamin A, moreover, is responsible for the normal state of the organ of vision – delicious and healthy!
BLUEBERRY MOUSSE WITH YOGURT MOUSSE WITH ROASTED WALNUTS
Berries in cancer prevention may be one of the most desirable fruits in an anti-cancer diet. Study after study provides evidence of their potent antioxidant effects. They contain a huge amount of antioxidants, which reduce the activity of free radicals that cause oxidation and damage to cells in the body. This also reduces the chance of cancer cells – we probably don’t need to persuade anyone to eat berries? 🙂
OATMEAL COOKIES WITH ALMONDS
Almonds, thanks to ingredients such as carotenoids and flavonoids (natural antioxidants), have anti-inflammatory properties and anti-cancer properties! A sweet and healthy snack? Here you go! 🙂
