How does the treatment work?

A medical pedicure is a core podiatric treatment that improves both the appearance of the feet and everyday comfort. It involves correctly trimming and cleaning the nail plate and removing excess hardened skin on the feet. Using professional tools such as a drill, scalpel and gouge, the specialist removes hyperkeratosis – corns, calluses and pressure points. The treatment ends with an exfoliation and the application of specialist care products matched to the skin's individual needs. At Face and Body Institute we perform the medical pedicure in fully sterile, comfortable conditions – caring not only for health but also for our patients' wellbeing.

A medical pedicure is best done regularly – on average every 4–6 weeks – to keep the feet healthy and looking their best. We tailor the frequency individually, depending on the condition of the skin and nails and any pathological changes.
