The life of modern man in the so-called civilized world resembles movies since fiction and a testing ground. Chimneys, exhaust fumes, heavy industry, water pollution, global warming, electro dumping….

Most of us have become accustomed to living under these extreme conditions: stress, pollution and stuffing ourselves with food and „pills” straight from the lab of a haunted alchemist. BUT will we be so cavalier the moment our body begins to fail, when we wake up in pain every day, when we lose our daily well-being?
I answer: NO!

We hear from everywhere about dangerous toxins and the need to detoxify, or cleanse our bodies of them. There is indeed a lot of truth in this, because the synthetic poisons we absorb do not have an immediate effect, but are slowly and effectively deposited in our cells to make themselves known in a few or even a dozen years.

In populated areas, especially where industry plays a large role, we are even bombarded by heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury and lead. We smuggle pesticides, antibiotics, coloring agents, raising agents, flavor enhancers and thickeners into our bodies every day with processed food, in which we find harmful synthetics instead of fiber, vitamins and enzymes. Sound scary? Of course, but we have to worry you even more… In the cosmetics and cleaning products, in which we look to the hope of a healthy and beautiful image, you can often find the entire Periodic Table.

In fact, small amounts of toxins are always hosted in our tissues and this is no reason to panic. Our body has a specialized defense system that guards our health and inactivates toxins. This is due to a protein – cytochrome P450, which in every cell catches poisonous substances and converts them into compounds that can be removed from the body.

Another natural guardian of „purity” is glutathione. It is found in our blood, serum and inside cells as a molecule that binds toxins and moves them out of the body. Toxins are removed from our body through the respiratory system, urinary system, digestive system and through the skin. To help this process, we must remember to include egg white and whey in our diet, which are sources of cysteine, which is necessary for glutathione synthesis.

However, let’s remember that after all, everything has its limits… When the concentration of toxins exceeds a certain level even our cleansing mechanisms can’t cope 🙁

Toxic substances especially accumulate in the liver, fat and nervous tissue, and the digestive system. When we go over the limit, a red light comes on and our body lets us know that something is wrong; we experience headaches, problems with concentration and loss of strength and even allergies. We can then help our body remove substances that are harmful to us by using cleansers and a proper diet. In pharmacies and herbal stores we can find plenty of preparations to help this process.

First of all, we should take care of the liver.

It is well known that the liver is an organ that can really endure a lot. We attack it by ingesting drugs, drinking alcohol and eating fatty food, and it nevertheless works hard thanks to its regenerative abilities and constant functional reserve. However, even the liver is not indestructible! High doses of toxic substances and prolonged exposure to them can cause irreversible changes and permanent damage to the liver. And since it performs many very important vital functions, its failure interferes with the work of other organs and processes in the body.

Whether our body can handle fighting toxins on its own depends on the amount of blood flow through the liver and whether these substances have permanently bound to proteins in the blood plasma. A major influence on natural detoxification is the solubility of these substances in water: those that are easily soluble are excreted from the body much more quickly with urine or feces, while those that are more difficult to excrete take longer, thus prolonging their adverse effects on our system. How our body copes with the removal of toxic substances is also influenced by the amount of proteins in the blood (mainly albumin) and the stock of reduced glutathione, which efficiently fights free radicals in the liver. Thanks to this, the proteins (hepatocytes) of which the liver is composed, involved in, among other things, the production of bile, are protected from damage that can lead to their inactivation, necrosis and even death of larger areas of the liver.

It’s now easy to understand where the need to take care of the liver comes from, not only by avoiding the intake of toxins found in alcohol or cigarette smoke and following a proper diet, but also hepatoprotection supported by appropriate measures with positive effects on liver function.

It also gives rise to the need to consume more antioxidants, as additional free radicals are generated during the oxidation of toxins, as well as increased consumption of glutathione and a consequent decrease in its amount in the cell.

Glutathione, as I mentioned earlier, plays an important role in fighting toxins and removing free radicals, which inhibit the production of energy needed for detoxification processes. A vicious cycle then ensues, as this energy is needed to regenerate glutathione, which must be supplied to the body and synthesized from scratch. Unfortunately, glutathione itself cannot practically be supplemented. It must be synthesized within the cell.

However, we can help our bodies and reach for substances with chelating properties. The easiest way to explain that chelates are chemical substances that, on the one hand, provide vitamins, minerals and oxygen to our cells, and on the other hand, bind and drain toxins, metal ions and triglycerides from the body. Examples of chelates include chlorophyll, noni fruit juice, and similar effects are also found in Cambrian and Moroccan clays and our native peat.

Liver cleaner

To make detoxification as effective as possible, we need to support, first of all, the digestive and urinary systems. For this purpose, it is worthwhile to use remedies with a variety of effects:

  • They mechanically cleanse our digestive tract, acting like a broom, taking away excess fat, sugar, cholesterol and heavy metals. These include fiber, chitosan, green clays used orally, chlorella(algae), Diatomite – diatomaceous earth, and dried fruits. However, dried fruits cannot be considered the main ingredient in a cleansing treatment due to their very high sugar levels.
  • Supporting the production of gastric juices such as apple cider vinegar diluted with water (1 tablespoon of vinegar per glass of water), or in pharmacy preparations that do not irritate the stomach.
  • Digestion-supporting substances of plant origin, rich in enzymes such as bromelain and papain.
  • Bile and cholagogue, supporting liver function: traveler’s chicory, wormwood, vervain, St. John’s wort.
  • Purifying – common buckthorn, valerian, membranaceous radish and senescence.
  • Restoring the normal bacterial flora of our intestines – lactic acid bacteria.
  • Preventing fatty liver – choline and inositol.
  • Antioxidant- green tea (due to the presence of polyphenols – compounds that remove free radicals), pycnogenol (from Mediterranean pine), vitamin E and C.
  • Accelerating metabolism – vitamin B1, B5, hake, caffeine (coffee, guarana), and red tea.
  • Diuretic and saluretic – celery, parsley, asparagus, white birch, tri-colored violet and nettle root.
  • Napional – raspberry fruit, elderberry, plantain.

How do you plan the cleansing?

  1. Carry out cleansing a minimum of 2 times a year – during the „breakthrough” months.
  2. During the cleansing, conduct moderate physical activity. Get moving every day! Long walks, trotting for 1 hour or cycling seem to work best.
  3. Consume plenty of water, even about 3 liters a day!
  4. Follow a fruit and vegetable diet. You can also contact centers that promote the diet according to Eve Dabrowski. The diet should last 2-3 weeks.

Schedule visits to the sauna and massages. The sauna, by dilating blood vessels and producing a lot of sweat, will help clear the skin of deposits, while massage will stimulate the entire lymphatic system, which collects deposits from all tissues and allows them to filter through the liver.

And finally, remember: our body needs to be cleaned regularly, just like we clean our houses – if you don’t take care of it it will fall into disrepair very quickly!
We wish you a fruitful detoxification.
