Good morning,
I’ve sat down at the computer several times before, wanting to write about my adventure with the Face and Body Institute. And each time I deleted everything, deciding that I was falling into pathos. Only how not to fall into pathos, if everything I think and can say about this place and the people working there is positive….
Okay, but enough cliches. Let’s get to the specifics 🙂
Let me start from the very beginning.
My first encounter with the FBI took place, from what I remember in 2012. I was 39 years old at the neck and had long abandoned hopes of having nice skin on my face. One evening I was sitting at my computer reminiscing about how, as a teenager still, I believed that one day, already in adulthood, I would have a smooth face. At almost 40 years old, I realized that my dream had not come true and that I no longer had a chance to fulfill it. I know, I know it all sounds idiotic. As I clicked on various images on my monitor, I also clicked on some FBI advertising. A description of the treatment, no promises of miracles, and an invitation to a consultation. I called and made an appointment.
My first meeting with Agnieszka was really amazing. I don’t know what this girl has in her, but she can so infect a person with faith and hope that still something can be done, that I believed. She didn’t promise me miracles and immediate repair of my skin, but she promised to do everything possible. And she did. And she still does to this day. I HAD TO WRITE THIS, BECAUSE AGA REALLY DID MORE IN MY LIFE THAN HUNDREDS OF DERMATOLOGISTS AND COSMETIC SURGEONS BEFORE HER. THAT I WON’T MENTION THE PSYCHE. And I fell into pathos again. Enough is enough. PS I would very much like to ask the moderator not to delete these pathetic arguments 😉
I was most concerned with eliminating acne scars and reducing skin porosity.
My first treatment at the FBI was a dermaPen. I lay down comfortably, had my face lubricated with anesthetic cream and was left in a relaxed state for an hour; newspapers, coffee, music….
After an hour, Dr. Agnieszka came in and set about massacring my mouth. That’s right; massacring. The procedure consisted of pricking (in my case quite deep) the entire face with thin needles. The goal; to stimulate the skin to work, to produce collagen and elastin, and ultimately to improve the appearance of the skin.
After the procedure, Aga lubricated my face with a cream to speed up healing and sent me home. At home a mirror. In the mirror my face. Ha! The first few hours the effect is that my face is gently swollen and thus the skin is stretched. The face then looks very good. But it’s only a moment. On the next day, the swelling disappears, the face is totally red as after a burn with a quartz lamp, pimples sometimes appear (the effect of irritation of the deep layers of the skin). The next day my face began to peel. It’s hard to cover it all up with foundation, but somehow I manage. After 5 days, everything returns to normal.
And you know what; I think it works. Not only I noticed it, but also my loved ones claimed that I have such a somehow more radiant face, smoother (narrowed pores). And those scars some how less visible…:):):):)
Of course, we did not end up with one treatment. We did 4 of them. The result: smoother skin, narrowed pores, almost invisible scars (my biggest bane). I wanted more and more, but Agnes said enough is enough, the skin needs to rest. So she rested and I rested with her.
In the next post I will write you about the next meetings with the Institute.
Greetings with a radiant smile. Kasia
