Chronic lack of time is one of the „diseases of civilization” lately! When we prioritize what needs to be done, we very often relegate our own needs to the background.

We load ourselves with hectoliters of coffee or other energizers to squeeze the maximum out of ourselves. Which compromises our health, well-being or skin condition….

Of course, we don’t want to generalize… We are delighted that awareness about healthy living is growing. More and more we hear „I’m over it – it’s time to take care of myself and focus on my needs!”.

Exercise rooms are increasingly popular, and vegetables are disappearing from store shelves faster than junk food.

So what can you do to make planning your day, week or month easier? So that we can maintain a work-life balance….

The first and basic element of planning, is note-taking! Write down all the tasks you should do – segregate them into topics:

– important and urgent – these are the ones you should deal with right away,

– important and non-urgent – plan them so that they do not become urgent,

– unimportant and urgent – very often these are tasks that, for example, you can delegate to someone else – or simply ask for help,

– unimportant and non-urgent – limit such tasks, as they usually slow down the most important projects.

This is a tool for managing one’s time, called the Eisenhower Matrix. Such a planning strategy allowed Eisenhower to take his place in the pantheon of history for the most brilliant and successful generals, and today plenty of successful people use such a method or one similar to it.

This is just one way to organize your time – there are really many. You can reach for the simplest way – that is, a calendar or a notebook. If you work mainly at home – it is possible that a mind map, consisting, for example, of small cards – stickers – will work in your case.

There are also many applications for organizing time and work.

Those working in the IT industry, for example, are probably very familiar with the Trello program – importantly, it’s free.

It is an application that makes it easier to work in a team, organize time and systematize activities.

Also great for dividing up household chores or wedding preparations 🙂

You can assign tasks to each other, share them, report on progress and delete those that have already been completed – and as we know – this makes for great fun! 🙂

Importantly, the program can be used on both a computer and a phone, which we always have with us – so we can quickly update the „TO DO” list.
