The effects of the treatment are as follows:

– reduction or elimination of enlarged pores
– improved look, tone and texture of the skin
– skin is stimulated to rejuvenate itself
– administration of active agents and hyaluronic acid
– reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
Dermapen is a fractional needling treatment. It creates multiple vertical micro-injuries of controlled depth and size in the skin, causing an inflammatory response and triggering a regenerative process: the production of new fibres and other dermal structures. The small areas of healthy skin between the ‘pinholes’ are stimulated to repair the structural damage. The procedure initiates an inflammatory cascade which leads to the healing process. This tightens the skin, reduces scars, defects and stretch marks as well as improving the texture of the skin. At the same time, the new channels may be used to deliver active substances that would not penetrate through the epidermal barrier. Therefore, Dermapen may be used as a comfortable, nearly painless and very precise means of administering the preparations in mesotherapy; with increased settings and after applying EMLA anaesthetic cream, it may be a skin restructuring treatment.
After mesotherapy using Dermapen, the skin is reddened, pulsating and irritated, but these side effects will subside very quickly.
After acne and stretch mark correction, the skin is vividly red, tingling, pulsating and tender – these effects will subside within 48 hours. The above-mentioned side effects are far less uncomfortable than those of fractional laser resurfacing. In terms of the results, the Dermapen treatment is comparable to fractional lasers. Note that the procedure may need to be repeated to multiply the results. Generally, however, a series of treatments is not performed over a period longer than six months.
