Carboxytherapy at the Face and Body Institute Cracow
Carboxytherapy is a rightly famous, since very effective method of working with the skin and the fat layer. Carboxytherapy simply consists in administering CO2 – carbon dioxide into an appropriate skin layer.
The gas should have appropriate parameters (tissue penetration time), appropriate temperature, and it should be administered in a specific amount (volume). CO2 administration causes a number of physiological effects:
- ejecting large amounts of oxygen into the space outside of the blood vessels, which is directly transported into the cells present there
- an increase in the tissue temperature, which highly stimulates metabolism
- stimulating the production of new blood vessels, which results in a better tissue blood/nutrient supply
Carboxytherapy constitutes a very strong support for all treatment types:
- rejuvenating
- fat tissue reduction
- stretch marks reduction
We often combine it with other methods:
- acoustic/blast wave
- mesotherapy
- chemical peels (chemical resurfacing)
This procedure produces visible effects in a possibly short time.
